Bryngarw House | Wedding | Photography | South Wales

No two weddings are ever the same even if it means shooting a wedding at the same venue twice in 3 days. Different weather, different guests, decor, and more. According to the weather, it was going to be the start of a warm week. However, as I left my home to make my way to Bryngarw House it was grey skies and overcast. 1 hour later it was blue skies and quickly warming up. I knew it was going to mean one thing and that was me topping up my tan line on my arms, the joys of summer weddings :)

Weddings can be full on frantic days and as a South Wales Wedding Photographer, this can be hard work during hot summer days. So much rests on our shoulders to help make sure the running of the day is going to plan and that I get the family photos that are needed and also capture the day as it unfolds, being the one that has so much responsibility to show the couple and family the day from how I saw it and a day that they miss so much of, with so much going on.

So, that aside, on 4th September, Katy and Kevin were finally getting married after having moved their date several times like many others due to Covid. However, things happen for a reason and to say that the wait was worth it for them was an understatement. A very chilled out morning for the girls during bridal prep and likewise for the guys.

The great benefit’s of Bryngarw House Wedding Venue is they have space to allow both bride and groom to get ready there. A slight change to the day for this wedding as the ceremony was taking place at St Mary’s Church in Coity, Bridgend, and not within Bryngarw House. Everyone later returned to Bryngarw where the rest day was simply superb.

I will leave you with a little preview of the day and hopefully give you an idea of what the day was like if you were not there or even if you were there, show how the day went from what I saw.

Having photographed a number of weddings again this year at Bryngarw this is my last for the year at this venue. Thank you team for looking after me during my long days there and being such an awesome venue to work closely with. Looking forward to seeing what 2022 brings us.

Also thanks to my trusted sidekick Johnathan, also the owner of Cross Jones Photography

Also great to work alongside the talented videographer Simon Huntley
