Rebecca & Jason - Glyndwr Vineyard

It was a Thursday afternoon back in late September when I had a call to shoot a wedding. Not for 2018 or 2019 but in 2 days time. I had never met the couple, never spoken to them and had no idea where the venue was but somehow I was so excited about the unknown. 

For those whose weddings that I have shot, will know that I like to meet up with a couple before the wedding day and meet at the venue to find out a bit more about the day and make plans to deal with unexpected challenges that I can sometimes face. The phone call that I had on that Thursday afternoon was from Melanie, one of the bridesmaids and also a wedding photographer herself. She explained to me how an unfortunate mix up of days resulted in Rebecca and Jason having to find another photographer at such short notice. It's always a compliment when another wedding photographer recommends you so besides not knowing anything about the bride and groom or anything about the day I also had to make sure I was up for the challenge and making sure that Melanie made the right choice for Rebecca in booking me.

On the morning of the wedding, I had arrived at Rebecca's house where I was to start the bridal preparations. The morning seemed to go very quickly and moving on from the house it was a 20 minute drive to All Saints Church in Barry. All was going good, well until another car collided into the back of me on my way to the church, doh. After about 15 to 20 minutes I was back on my way to the Church.Luckily I left Rebecca's house early as this could have resulted in me being late for her arrival. The ceremony over, I headed to the venue, along with Steve Wheller ( second shooter ) from ArtByDesign Photography The venue was one place I had never been to before, Glyndwr Vineyard in Cowbridge. What a beautiful place. A family run venue with a few cheeky Llamas, ( see if you can spot one ;) )
